Who is blockwood?

April 20th, 2008

blockwood has always been a default email address name, formed using the intial of my frist name “Brian” combined with Lockwood. When I was filtering quite a few sites on the school network I achieve it as a nick name. Recently we’ve reversed this policy and our network is quite open, but that’s for another blog topic.

Essential I’m a third culture kid, attended AIS/D and Kodai International School. Now I live in Japan and work at YIS as an educator, administrator and a super geek (not an ubber geek, those can be found at the MIT flea).

    Hello Sir,
Your website was sent to me via Google Alerts… (Keyword: ASIJ)
    I’m a graduate of ASIJ (’06)
Its great to see International Schools in Japan are being up to date with web2.0… I know ASIJ was waaaay behind when I was a student there…

    Hope your workshop went well!

    Tai,

Thanks for the comment. The workshop went real well, very good vibes from it. I think Animoto tops out as being a favorite. Here’s a recent Animoto blog post resulting from the workshop http://glendabaker.net/blog/?p=25

It’ll be interesting to see how schools in the area start adopting Web 2.0 into their curriculum. In time we will see.
